Several years ago a home was purchased on 20 acres of beautiful pristine land fronting on Island Lake in Nikiski, Alaska, with the vision of a youth/family camp on the property. In 2023, with the establishment of a non-profit corporation, the dream is coming true. Our vision is to provide areas for overnight guests to stay and enjoy the great Alaska outdoors and to learn valuable life skills with the help of qualified counselors and teachers.
We are a recognized 501c3 organization, so all donations to help this cause are tax deductible.

Providence Camp and Learning Center, Inc is already home to a full time "micro-school" known as Teigen Time. Teigen Time is focused on helping home school families teach their children academics, as well as basic life skills, as they grow.
The property has 17 acres with Island Lake frontage as well as a water foul sanctuary pond. Wildlife

The property has 17 acres with Island Lake frontage as well as a water foul sanctuary pond. Wildlife abounds year round, such as moose, ducks, loons, sandhill cranes, and the occasional bear or coyote.

Providence Camp and Learning Center, Inc is a charitable not for profit organization established to support local teens and pre-teens by providing a safe place for them to learn outdoor skills and recreational activities with their friends and families at no cost to them. Property use, camping supplies, and some food and snacks are provided free of charge. Instructors and teachers are provided from time to time to help the youth learn skills needed in making life choices for their future.
